This a new series I am creating based on my love for Lego. Most of the Lego I have comes from the Star Wars saga. Lego is unique in that it is a toy that is incredibly fun to make, fun to play with, and can also act as a cool model to look at whenever you see your shelf. With each of these Lego sets there comes the possibility of losing pieces or self-modification and because of that this is the "Mostly Complete Lego Review". This first ship we are going to look at was my first jaunt into Star Wars Lego.
Republic Attack Shuttle: Set 8019-1
Piece count: 636
For this Lego set, I could not find a name for name copy of it in the Star Wars Universe. What I did find was the NU-Class Transport which seemed very close to the design of the Lego Republic Attack Shuttle.

Appearance compared to real model:
Overall the accuracy of the Lego set compared to the real ship is fairly high. The red and yellow markings on the wings of both ships are similar and the grey and white tiles on the Lego ship match the majority of the color scheme. The front cockpit of the Lego is a bit leaner than the real NU-Class Transport which has angles close to ninety degrees. The turrets on the side of the cockpit and on each engine fuselage are very accurate to the real ship. The last large discrepancy comes from the fact that the Lego ship has a flick-fire missile system on the top of it.
8/10 accuracy rating
Play Features:
Automatic flick fire missile system

The Picture farthest to the left shows how the system works (farthest above on mobile). You push in the yellow and gray stopper at the end which fires one missile, then the column of missiles falls and another can be shot out. It is a very fun and easy play feature that alleviates problems like actually getting a good flick off on the flick-fire missiles for them to be entertaining.
The other picture illustrates how far one shot goes on straight ground with a TI-30X as a scale. The bullet is circled in red.
Inside of the ship

The next picture shows the inside of the Attack Ship which can fold straight up on a long strong hinge in the back
All of the central studded areas can have a mini figure seated in it without a problem as the top of the ship closes. In the back of the ship lies a weapon holder that can turn up and down on hinges. This allows for any weapon to fit even with the top shut down. The overall design is very efficient allowing for a large amount of room in a smaller sized ship.

On either side of the ship lays two bomb dropping features. These features work through the back of the ship which has two by one piece which you can turn to let the ships bombs drop.
My one major qualm with this set is the landing gears on the bottom of it.

These two white pieces can fold up and just sit there on the bottom. While it is nice to have the hovering effect of them they are an eyesore when seen. The front cockpit does a fine job covering them when the ship is landed but there are still visible areas. In al,l I wish that they had done a different landing system, preferably one that could fold up on hinges like in many other ships they have done.
9/10 Play Features
Mini Figures:

This set gives a perfect amount of mini figures allowing two clones for the cockpit and a cool Mace Windu for the interior of the ship. Not much more can be asked mini figure wise for a ship like this.
Mini Figures: 8.5/10
Final Verdict: 8.75/10
I love this ship, it was one of the first ships I ever made and was definitely the hardest one I had built at the time. It is a great ship with a lot of fun features like the missiles and bombs that allows for cool scene reenactments. It is realistic compared to its counterpart in the real Star Wars universe. My one caveat of the landing gears is small compared to the rest of the ship and the three mini figures are a great addition for a set this size.
