The Dream Affect

You wanna Hammock? Well I'm your man! What you may be asking yourself, and you definitely are not alone. It was late Friday night I had just come back from a school event, and had heated up some pizza role for dinner. After finishing my nutritious and delicious dinner I headed to my room. My room is not just an ordinary room, it has twice the number of things other rooms have, because two is better than one. This may not sound like very important information, but stay with me. When I got up to my room it was around 9:30 and being the teenager that I am that left me with 3 hours to kill before going to bed. While most teens, including myself, would usually play on their phones, or watch Netflix, I had a different objective. You see my room has had two beds within it and only one person for a long time. So what does every one think to do with two beds and one person, connect the beds with a hammock of course. The problem that I had always had in the past (That's right I've tried this more than once) is that the materials I had (as in not having a hammock) couldn't perform the task of a Hammock. Well tonight was gonna be different, because tonight I had brought up all the blankets I could find in my house, had taken off all the curtains in my room, and had the most enthusiasm anyone has probably ever had about making a hammock. Suffice to say I failed miserably. Blankets fell down when I tried to sit on them during stress tests, with their knots unraveling, and when the knots didn't break the things they were attached to did. That was until I found the perfect place, above my head. Instead of connecting my two beds I created a bunk bed, thanks to the fact that one of the beds in my room has poles going up that were connected together at the top, because it used to have curtains on it. This allowed for strong supports that could hold me, and after probably two hours I was able to make a "Hammock" that was practically sitting on the bed. But man I was proud of this, proud enough to have thought that hey, I could add this to my college application as an engineering project, yeah I wanted to add a hammock made of blankets, because you know that's basically the same things as making a computer. You could call it sleep deprivations effect on a teenage mind, but I prefer to call the "Dream Affect." This Dream Affect is the pre dream repeated word of your own actual abilities, making even the smallest, most useless things seem amazing to you. I did actually create a pretty sweet Hammock the next morning though!:)

One of the first tries- Failed as green blanket came out of door

Almost took down curtains when tested

End of the night Hammock=Put on college application

Next morning added second lower part, to go with first higher part
