Tonight the ghosts whisper, while the skeletons stir, faces of the long dead run through the streets to satisfy their hunger. No one knows if they will make it through this day, and as the creatures approach a sacrifice must be made. Tricking these facades will only bring disaster, while giving lackluster offerings brings even more pain. This catching night where what once was is, and what is, is no longer, brings cold hands to even the bravest.
Oh, Halloween, Halloween, you come and go, from dusk to dawn, the past is truth, while the future is fact, only the present suffers, Oh, Halloween, Halloween, you bring tricks and treats, from parent to child, each daring the other, to follow, or be the one ensnared. Oh, Halloween, Halloween, you glare and stare, from pumpkin to skeleton, each has its own, the spiteful mouths follow you, while the empty brains gaze. Oh, Halloween, Halloween, from passion to death, you make the hero ninety, as spiderman reaches the roof, to once again do, what only spiderman can, Oh, Halloween, Halloween, you are here to stay, but will always leave, your bites are sweet, even as you cheat, you will always be here, because you are, the dream.
