Disclaimer: Not talking about the religious importance of Christmas

If you celebrate Christmas, as I do, then you were probably told about the magical man who brought presents to your house if you were good. In reality I assume a large percent of people who don't celebrate Christmas also know about Santa Clause, Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, Kris Cringle, Father Christmas, or what ever name you give to this joy bringer. If you were like me you believed in the magic surrounding Christmas, getting joy from it all throughout your life as a child. When you grew older though, be it from your parents, friends, siblings, or society you stumbled upon the fact that Santa Claus was in fact not real, being based off of Saint Nicholas who was a Catholic bishop in the 4th century. Many people would dismiss the magic of Christmas right there, and then, but I'm here to persuade you back. Christmas and Saint Nicholas (The man who Santa Claus is based off) are one of the most magical things in the world. Not because of flying reindeer or a good and bad list, but because of the power of an individual. One man in the 4th century, Saint Nicholas, changed the course of history, because he was kind and helped out people on Christmas. This man's kindness has transcended the ages into the modern day, where his small act has amplified into millions of people following his lead. So many people are nice, kind, giving on Christmas, and during the whole Christmas season, all based off of the inspiration of one small act. The ability for all of us to show kindness, and the possibility for that kindness to be reciprocated through the human race to amounts we could never imagine, is truly a magical part of humanity. Christmas is a magical time filled with joy, kindness, and love originating from one small spec in history, into a huge blob in the present. Thank you and have a scrumptious day!
