A Cheese Shop Adventure

If I could eat only one variant of food for the rest of my life, it would be cheese. The range of cheese is incredible: from sharp cheddar to creamy brie cheese is special. There is a local cheese shop close to where I live: the Concord Cheese Shop. The Concord Cheese Shop offers a beautiful consumer experience. As you enter the bustling place, you are enveloped by a musty cheese stench that tingles the nose hairs. First, you must take a plastic card with a number that indicates your spot in line. The shop has plenty of people in it all the time but when holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas come around it is shoulder to shoulder filled. As you wait, you can see what is in store for you.

Many cheese connoisseurs lay behind a counter piled with cheese on it with their backs to even more layers of cheese. As each person requests their cheese of choice, the experts find what best matches the desire and then slice off a piece of cheese for each in the party. When my brother, my grandma, my grammy, and I all came up to our aficionado we asked about our list of cheese; smoked Gouda, Brie, blue, cheddar, Huntsman, and crucolo. Each one was salivating, and our taste buds tingled as he gave us pieces. Not only is the taste amazing, but every slice is the exact right size for one serving, be it with a given cracker for the creamy brie, or standalone with the strong crucolo. This alluring enterprise does something that is good for all parties; the consumer buys a lot of cheese. We bought pounds of cheese, making sure to get a hefty amount of each type.

The cherry-on-top of this wonderful food outing is the deli located in the back corner of the shop. There you can get all sorts of freshly made sandwiches, which, of course, come with cheese. These sandwiches are delicious and varied. There is baguette, ciabatta, croissants, sourdough, multi-grain, whole wheat, light rye, and wraps for bread choices. Cheese choices such as Swiss, provolone, Brie, cheddar, mozzarella coat the deli board and some delicious additions of meats, vegetables, and condiments finish the work. Be it before you start shopping, while you wait in line, or after you have your cheese purchased getting one of these beauties is always a good idea. There are tables inside and a bench outside where you can sit down and eat. I got a baguette with turkey, cheddar cheese, and mayonnaise. It was phenomenal. There is only one problem with it: you have less room for cheese. The Concord Cheese Shop is a special experience, and one that I hope to never give up.
