June 21-25

Hey everyone, this is my first post in a summer long series where I will basically tell you what I've done in the past week. We are starting just as I left school, for the longest day of the year. It was breezy as I walked out those doors, the music lacked what should have been a chorus birds, and as I looked up into the dark sk... wait nope it was just the summer solstice. Anyways I got home from school to my dad's house. We were going to Logan Airport at 6, heading to Frankfurt, Germany. Before we left all I did was start Awesome People #7, and finished packing my luggage. We took an Uber their, sadly my driver was not nearly as fun as my last driver, the superbly charismatic Jumba Moses, and his witty banter. All in all an uneventful drive.

When we got to Logan we did all of the normal stuff, bags, security, only losing two things, wait nope that comes later. My dad and I had a couple hours to kill before our plane left, so we grabbed dinner. I ate, but did I eat up a new experience? Actually I did, see I ordered chicken, dun, dun, dun! Okay, that might sound lame, but like who ever orders just chicken, at least I don't. If you get a pure meat its normally steak, lamb, duck, veal, pork :(. and while some people get chicken salads, or sandwiches, those don't count as ordering chicken. It tasted pretty bad, I see why no one gets it, or airport restaurants just might not be the best, your choice.

Any ways not to lose track of this story we were now sitting down, in our terminal, waiting for our plane. I looked into my backpack, because hey, probably should charge things and low and behest both my portable charger, and the part of a phone charger that plugs into the wall were gone. I was left only with the an USB cable to charge my phone. What I think happened, was that I left both my portable, and 1/2 my phone charger in a tray at security, and forgot to get them back.

The plane ride was actually pretty great, with our first flight going into Zurich, Switzerland, and me sleeping that entire flight. From Zurich to Frankfurt, was only around one hour, so it went by very fast. Once landing in Frankfurt, which has a humungous airport, we took the train (out of the train station that was within the airport) all the way to Pirmasens, Germany. My brother has an internship their, so we were also visiting him on this European trip. When we got to our hotel, I realized and remembered, that European outlets our different then Americans, so despite losing my cables head it didn't matter if I had it or not. On our first night we had dinner overlooking this cool waterfall fountain thing, with lots of sculptures on it. Germany=I can drink ;) so of course I ordered a beer. As I took that supposedly glorious first sip, my mouth exploded. Holy shomoly beer tastes awful, barf. I tried a couple other beers, even one that was half lemonade, and all were incredibly, irresponsibly, icky. To keep this not too long, I am going to use bullet points for the next part

-Took Train to Paris on next day

-In Paris Saw Notre-Dame, Eiffel Tower, Lourve (and within it the Mona Lisa), lots of museums and other historical sites

-Tried wine, liked it a lot more then beer

-Went walking around the streets from 5 Pm to past 1 Am, with only a dinner between the walking

-Had dinner at around 11 one night

-Realized Paris is actually gigantic, ridiculously large

-Ate some good food

-Took Train back to Pirmasens

Well that's it for my first update. I hope everyone is having a fantastic beginning to their summer.
